ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city Đà Nẵng’s tourism industry has begun a South Korean tourist promotion programme “Enjoy Đà Nẵng Again” to encourage even more visitors from South Korea to visit.
The city’s tourism promotion agency introduced the drive in Seoul with the participation of 70 representatives of South Korean travel agencies and air services.
It said 822,000 Korean tourists had booked room service in Đà Nẵng in the first half this year, accounting for a 41 per cent share of the international visitors in the city.

Trần Chí Cường, deputy chairman of the city’s People’s Committee [municipal administration], emphasised that the number of South Korean tourist segment has been remained stable since 2015, and Đà Nẵng is seen as a favourite destination to Korea travellers.
The city still keeps boosting Meeting, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibition (MICE) space too, along with golf tour services.
New tourism products include night walks on Bạch Đằng Street on the Hàn River banks, Downtown Đà Nẵng with fireworks and a jet ski and flyboard show every night, Cường said.
Đà Nẵng will host annual Việt Nam-South Korea Cultural Exchange Day in September to create more entertainment and cultural events for Korean tourists in Đà Nẵng.
The South Korean market is seen as a key source for Đà Nẵng’s tourism growth.
Đà Nẵng Golf Resort became a member of Asian Tour Destinations – the Tour’s exclusive network of world-class golfing venues – and Korean golfers can play at BRG Đà Nẵng golf clubs, Bà Nà Hills Golf Club, Vinpearl golf Nam Hội An, Hoiana Shore club, and Laguna golf Lăng Cô.

Last year, 144 top Asia golfers including South Korean Minhyeok Yang, Hyukchul Shin and Minwoo Park took part in the BRG Open Golf Championship-Đà Nẵng 2023 and the Đà Nẵng Golf-Tourism Festival.
The coastal city offers a good connection of tour links between South Korea’s Jeju Island, Incheon and Seoul and central Việt Nam’s UNESCO World Heritage sites including Phong Nha Kẻ Bàng, Huế Monuments Complex, Hội An ancient town, and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary.
South Korea airlines including Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, Jin Air, Air Busan, Air Seoul and Tway Air have successfully introduced services from Busan, Seoul, Deagu and Cheong Ju to Đà Nẵng in the past years.

Hana Tour, a South Korean travel agency will host a golf tournament as a new service to attract Korean tourists to the pristine beaches and ocean-front golf courses of Đà Nẵng.
The Shilla Hotels & Resorts – a South Korean invested resort – was one of the first beach-front hotels between Đà Nẵng and Hội An, and the city has promoted it as a MICE space and as a wedding venue. — VNS
