As one of the outstanding activities of the series of events to welcome the National Tourism Year 2022, the “Balloon Festival” will be held at Hoai River Square – Hoi An on March 25-26.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong – Director of Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, because the first regional traditional craft festival program could not take place in March 2022 as previously planned, the “Balloon Festival” is held to supplement instead.
As part of a series of programs on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year – Quang Nam 2022, the “Balloon Festival” is scheduled to take place on March 25 and March 26 at Song Hoai Square.
According to the scenario from the Organizing Committee, there will be 17 hot-air balloons including 12 mini hot-air balloons, 3 level 7 hot-air balloons and 2 air balloons to be brought to the festival. In which, each level 7 hot-air balloon hangs a place up and down, while the air balloon is erected 24/24 so that visitors can check-in and take pictures.
On the hot-air balloon at an altitude of about 400 m, tourists can enjoy the panoramic view of Hoi An ancient town. This activity promises to bring a memorable experience for tourists visiting Hoi An.
In addition, the festival also has a night program of hot-air balloons including fire dragon performances, guests exchanging and interacting with hot-air balloons.
Currently, relevant units are actively preparing procedures, conditions as well as detailed scenarios for the program. The management agency requires the organizer to predict the organizational scenario depending on weather conditions.
