HÀ NỘI – The partnership between Australian Excelsia College and Vietnamese Master Media Academy (MMA) will contribute significantly to the building of high quality resources in Việt Nam, said Rebecca Ball, senior trade commissioner at Austrade Việt Nam.
The collaboration between the two institutions was announced in Hà Nội on Wednesday focusing on film production education.
“I look forward to seeing more collaboration and wonderful production coming out of the two institutions work toward greater academic exchange activity, student mobility, and more wonderful entertainment for our various audiences,” said Ball.
Excelsia College has been offering higher education programs since 1983, with a focus on offering students a collaborative space for all students to reach their potential.
MMA is one of the leading training institutes in the field of fine arts and multimedia communication in Việt Nam. It has modern and scientific training programmes which are from popular design colleges in Singapore, the UK and US.
The co-operation between the college and MMA will give local students a chance to access advance film making technology in the world, according to Lê Đỗ Tiến, a representative of MMA.
“We wish the co-operation successful and it will help Vietnamese students be more creative in filmmaking in Việt Nam,” Tiến said at the announcement ceremony.
Australia has eight education institutions in the top 50 globally for creative art and design.
With more investment and global recognition, the Việt Nam movie industry has witnessed enormous growth in recent years.
Many new cinemas have been set up across the country, and the amounts of movies each year and the number of people going to the theatre has been increasing significantly.
Việt Nam is set to have international recognition through an increasing number of international film awards, according to Ball. VNS
