Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has just issued a decision on tax fines and arrears of VND 68 billion to Asanzo Company., then transferred the dossier to the police one day later.
The decision on administrative sanction on tax was made on October 15 after the HCM City Tax Department conducted an inspection of Asanzo Group Joint Stock Company. The inspection period is determined from 2016 to July 2019.
According to a post on Vnexpress, the total fines, arrears, late payment are 68 billion dongs. In which, arrears of missing tax declaration and tax evasion are nearly 40.6 billion VND (including arrears of VAT, luxury tax, corporate income tax, personal income tax). Amount of delayed tax payment 1.6 billion.
In addition, Asanzo was sanctioned with aggravating circumstances after the act of evading and hiding violations so the main fine was VND 26.3 billion. Including fines for false declaration of 4.9 billion, 1.5 times fine for non-invoice behavior is 6.3 billion, 1.5 times of luxury tax is nearly 14.7 billions VND.
The above amount is up to October 22, if Asanzo pay after this time, it will have to suffer from additionally late payment as prescribed in current laws.
In addition to Asanzo’s right to lodge a complaint or initiate a lawsuit in accordance with law, the Company must take remedial measures within 10 days.
On October 16, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Taxation continued to sign Decision 3731 to transfer the case of administrative violations showing signs of crime to investigate criminal liability for tax evasion for Asanzo Group Joint Stock Company to HCMC Police and Ministry of Public Security.
