Astronomy Park was constructed with an investment of around 260 billion VND, beginning in 2017 and finishing in the first quarter of 2020. The park, which is built on an area of more than 12 hectares, is expected to be a prominent architectural feature of the Duong Noi urban area landscape.
Although the park was completed in early 2020, it remained abandoned for four years before finally being put to use this February. The park’s theme is astronomy, and it has been designed for both research and entertainment purposes. Its total area is almost equivalent to that of the Kazan Planetarium in Russia, which is known as the world’s first astronomy park.

The park features numerous astronomy-themed items, such as the Big Bang Square, a black hole tank, a light fountain, and a UFO Zone. It is also a playground for children, with a terrain that simulates a “space grid” with protrusions similar to the geological tectonics found on the surfaces of planets such as the Moon and Mars.
With its beautiful design, spaciousness, and fascinating and useful themes, Astronomy Park promises to be a unique weekend experience for the people of the capital.
