HÀ NỘI – More than 10 posters featuring the most iconic landscapes and people in Uruguay are now available to the public around the embassy’s walls in downtown Hà Nội.
The posters are enlarged photos with deep captions in Vietnamese and Spanish representing the South American country’s most striking landscapes, cities, food and festivals.
In his speech to address the poster opening ceremony on Wednesday, Ambassador Raul Pollak Giampietro expressed his happiness to see life return to Hà Nội, contrasting with what he saw when he arrived one year ago during the pandemic.

“Since the first time I looked at the walls of the embassy, I thought something should be done for their enhancement,” he said.
“We are lucky to have a building in an excellent location, in a beautiful district, to which we wanted to contribute adornment. Besides, we wanted to bring our country closer to the Vietnamese.
“Thus, we thought that showing some of the iconic images of our countryside, heritage buildings, and touristic sites would be a great way to do so.”
He said though the 11 images seemed a lot, it was not easy to make the selection, and his team has tried to reflect the country’s whole spirit, culture and traditions.
“I do hope that the images we selected to showcase on the embassy’s outer walls will help bring our country closer to the Vietnamese, contribute to allure of the neighbourhood, and the enjoyment of visitors and passers-by,” he said.
The exhibition is permanent at the embassy on 61 Lý Thường Kiệt Street, Hoàn Kiếm District, Hà Nội. VNS
