Japanese global apparel retailer UNIQLO has announced that its first store in Vietnam will be located in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 1 and open later this year.
Situated on the corner of Le Thanh Ton and Dong Khoi, UNIQLO Dong Khoi will be at the front of the Parkson Saigon Tourist Plaza mall, one of the city’s most famous storefronts, and promises to become a new focal point in one of the city’s liveliest shopping zones.
As one of the largest UNIQLO stores in Southeast Asia, UNIQLO Dong Khoi will feature over 3,000 sq m of sales floor area, with a full global lineup of LifeWear for men, women, and kids on three levels, providing a magnetic UNIQLO store experience for local people and international visitors.

It will also include a special Kids’ Zone – an experiential area designed to stimulate creativity in children and ensuring a comfortable family shopping experience.
“We are very pleased to confirm such a prime location for our launch in Vietnam,” said Mr. Osamu Ikezoe, Co-Chief Operating Officer at UNIQLO Vietnam. “We are committed to opening excellent stores that beautifully showcase the UNIQLO brand and our LifeWear philosophy in locations that are interesting and convenient to all our customers. Earlier, a representative from Fast Retailing, the owner of the UNIQLO brand, told VET that the store will be operated through a joint venture between Fast Retailing and the Mitsubishi Corporation, which will own 75 per cent and 25 per cent of the company. “Vietnam will be the fourth country in which Fast Retailing and Mitsubishi have established a joint venture company, following Thailand in 2011, Indonesia in 2013, and Russia in 2017,” he said. “The partnership has been successful.”
As with all UNIQLO stores around the world, the main objective will be to open outlets that provide the very best UNIQLO experience for customers. This means choosing convenient locations while also securing a store layout that enables customers to browse and shop for its LifeWear collections in comfort.
