31 years old Megan Hellebuyck, an American tourist traveling around Asia has died after jumping from a road bridge of Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam on Thursday morning, March 19, 2019.
Reports say around 10am, the woman jumped from a road bridge in Vo Nguyen Giap Street near the Noi Bai International Airport.
Local residents found her naked body on the road below and rushed her to hospital where she was pronounced dead this afternoon, according to a report by VTC.
Police said her clothes and American passport were found near the spot where she jumped.
Three days ago, she posted a message on Facebook quoting the lyrics to a Beyonce song which included the line ‘trying to fix something you can’t see’.
According to her Facebook page, the victim had visited Bali before arriving in Vietnam. It is not clear when she arrived.
An earlier post on a community group in Hanoi had expressed concern for a woman fitting her description who had been acting strangely around Kim Ma, Hanoi
The person who wrote the post said she tried in vain to help, but the woman wouldn’t accompany her to the American Embassy.
