After more than 2 years of stagnation due to Covid-19, the wedding tourism trend of the rich Indians has been warmed up again.
Vice Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Phuoc Son and the delegation have just had a trip to India to promote cooperation activities investment, tourism and trade.
Accordingly, the delegation of Da Nang City has coordinated with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Mumbai and Indian partners to organize conferences, seminars, connect and meet Indian businesses with functional industries.
At the event, Mr. Satish Ramnani, Director of Veydaa Events Company said that the company is coordinating with partners in Vietnam to prepare for the wedding of the Indian billionaire family at a resort in Da Nang with about 450 guests in January 2023.
Mr. Tran Phuoc Son had an investment promotion seminar with the Association of Indian Industries (AIAI) in Mumbai.
Leaders of Da Nang Department of Tourism also personally contacted the Global Air Service Company (GAS) to promote the cooperation program between the company and the Department of Tourism in the field of tourism promotion. GAS company also said that it is promoting another wedding in Da Nang for an Indian billionaire family.
In addition to tourism, Indian businesses are also interested in investing in Da Nang in the fields of trade, import and export, and logistics, especially after hearing the preferential policies when investing in the hi-tech park.
Mr. Tran Phuoc Son said that the city has increased working with airlines to promote the opening of direct flights from India to Da Nang.
Accordingly, from October 17, Vietjet Air will launch the first direct flight from Da Nang to Mumbai, India with a frequency of 3 flights/week. Flight routes from other major Indian cities to Da Nang will also open later.
With the plan to open direct flights, the connection between Da Nang and India will become easier. He also acknowledged the recommendations of businesses and assigned sectors to continue to advise the city to propose central ministries and agencies to create more favorable conditions for visa procedures for tourists.
Earlier at the end of 2019, Da Nang was chosen by a billionaire family of India as a place to hold a wedding ceremony for their daughter with more than 600 guests.
