A total of 11 Covid-19 patients were released from hospitals in Danang on September 2 following their full recovery.
At the Danang Lung Hospital, six patients aged between 39 and 72 were discharged after testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 for a third and fourth consecutive time.
Five other patients aged between 16 and 71 were released from the Hoa Vang Field Hospital for Covid-19 patients. Among them was a 71-year-old patient who had been a serious case as he had hemiplegia due to a stroke.
The same day, the Hoa Vang Healthcare Centre announced that a 76-year-old Covid-19 patient died after testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 three consecutive times on August 30, 31 and September 1.
According to the centre, the elderly patient was already struggling with chronic kidney failure and hypertension before contracting Covid-19.
The cause of his death has been determined as septic shock, multi-organ failure, chronic kidney failure, pneumonia and hypertension.
